1. Who this covers

This notice describes Clippah Media’s handling of information for its clipping service, website and proposed self-serve API. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

2. What we receive

Depending on how you use the service, we may receive your name, email address, account identifier, video file or source link, clipping instructions, job status, generated clips, support messages and payment records. If you connect through Muse, we receive the information needed to act on the request you make there and to identify your connected account. We do not ask for unrelated messages, contacts or files.

We may keep limited technical records, such as request times, error codes and security events, to operate and protect the service. Do not include passwords or other secrets in video instructions or support messages.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to provide the service you request, verify access, make and deliver clips, respond to support and rights complaints, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Depending on the activity, the UK GDPR basis may be a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, or a legal obligation.

4. Sharing and storage

Service providers may process information for hosting, storage, support and payments on our behalf. We do not sell your source videos or clips. We do not use them to train an AI model without separate permission. We do not share a customer’s private clips with another customer. We will provide details of production service providers and any international-transfer safeguards before a live self-serve launch.

Muse has its own privacy practices. Disconnecting a connector stops new exchanges with Clippah, but does not remove information Muse has already kept.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep source material, job records and clips only as long as needed to deliver the service, allow downloads, respond to support or rights complaints, and meet legal requirements. The exact self-serve retention periods will be shown before the service launches. You can ask us to delete material sooner, subject to legal or dispute-related obligations.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, or object to certain uses, by emailing [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your concern.

7. Updates

We will update this notice if our service or data practices change. The date above shows when this version took effect.
